Sustainable Farming Practices, Awareness, and Behavior in Small Farms in Brazil

This paper investigates the relationship between use of digital and non-digital sources information on sustainable farming practices, institutional pressure adoption such practices by farmers in Brazilian semi-arid lands. The research uses a model based theory reasoned action (TRA) theory. Our results for sample 100 show that ‘Coercive’ ‘Normative’ pressures have positive impact farmers’ attitude towards actual practices. However, as TV Radio do not play significant role. In addition, pro-environmental drives behaviour through three out five investigated. Research policy implications are also discussed.
